the defense, 15-3, in the last half of an intersquad scrimmage
and final team workout Saturday at the FIU Community Stadium.

recruiting and readying the program for its debut next fall at
the Division I-AA level.

scrimmage played Saturday at the Community Stadium on University

team for its hour-and-a-half practice Tuesday afternoon at the
FIU Community Stadium. Just days away from another public scrimmage,

afternoon as the team could only manage a short walk through on
the running track of FIU Community Stadium, less than 48 hours
before the teams first public scrimmage.

ever, the team suffered what could be a serious injury when freshman
defensive back Anthony T.J. Singletary suffered a
possible fracture of the right femur.
Learning new plays and variations of the base offense and defense
took center stage Thursday as the FIU football team returned to
practice.
After a two-day Labor Day break, it was back on the practice field
for the FIU football team that worked out for the very first time
in full gear Tuesday.
Repetition and review was the order of the day as head coach Don
